During a period of seven years, 137.200 hours of video, 22.510 hours of film, 123.900 hours of audio, and 2.9 million photos from the archives involved will be restored, preserved, and digitized. In 2007, Sound and Vision, EYE, and the National Archive will prepare European subcontracts for the following activities:
- Digitizing and encoding film
- Digitizing and encoding video
- Preserving and digitizing photographic content.
European Subcontracts
A significant part of the activities surrounding preservation and digitization is being carried out externally and will be subcontracted in Europe. Where possible, the partners will march together.
