Where the questions come from

Three sources, each checked before a single question was generated. The rules-of-the-road
pool covers material taught the same way in every state handbook, and every question in it was
attacked by independent reviewers before shipping. The state facts – permit ages, supervised-hour
requirements, licensing agencies – were written twice by independent authors and the two copies
compared field by field; where the authors could not agree or could not be sure, the site asks
no question rather than risk a wrong answer. The road signs and pavement markings are drawn to
the federal MUTCD specification as vector graphics.

What this site is not

It is not a DMV, not affiliated with any state licensing agency, and not the official
knowledge test. It makes no claims about the real exam’s length, pass mark or fees, because
those change and belong to your state. The official driver manual for your state is the
authority; this site is practice against verified material, nothing more.

Why a few states read differently

New Hampshire issues no learner’s permit document at all. Hawaii runs licensing through its
counties rather than one state agency. Oklahoma moved licensing to a new agency. Where a state
is unusual, its page says so instead of forcing it into a template.
