Alaska Permit Practice Test

Work through 19 multiple-choice questions in this Alaska permit practice test, covering signs, road rules, lane markings, and Alaska requirements. The correct answer appears after every response.

Question Mix on the Alaska Test

This test holds 19 questions: seven on road signs, six on rules of the road, two on lane markings, and four Alaska-specific facts. The sign items show a shape or symbol and ask for its meaning. Rules items cover right-of-way, passing, speed, and following distance. Marking items ask what different line colors and patterns allow. The four state items check the Alaska figures listed in the next section.

Alaska Facts Used in the Questions

These are the Alaska requirements the state questions are built from:

  • Licensing is handled by the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • The minimum age for a learner permit is 14.
  • Drivers under 18 must complete 40 hours of supervised practice.
  • The adult per-se blood alcohol limit is 0.08.

No Alaska claim outside this list appears in the test.

Format, Feedback, and Scoring

Every question is multiple choice with four options. As soon as you select one, the page marks it right or wrong and adds a one-line explanation of the correct answer, so nothing waits until the end. After the final question a review screen lists all 19 questions with your answer and the correct one side by side. Your best score is stored in your browser, so the next attempt has a mark to compare against. There is no timer, and you can restart the test whenever you want.

This is an independent practice page, not affiliated with any DMV or state agency. Requirements can change, so treat the official Alaska driver manual as the final word on current rules.
