Colorado Permit Practice Test

Answer 19 multiple-choice questions in this Colorado permit practice test: signs, road rules, lane markings, and Colorado-specific facts. Each one is corrected and explained as soon as you choose.

How the Colorado Questions Are Split

The quiz asks 19 questions in four categories: seven road signs, six rules of the road, two lane markings, and four Colorado-specific facts. Sign questions show a symbol or shape and ask what it means. Rules questions test right-of-way, passing, speed, and spacing. Marking questions concern line colors and patterns and what each permits. The state questions draw only on the Colorado facts below.

Colorado Requirements Covered by the Quiz

  • The licensing agency is the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • A learner permit is available from age 15.
  • Drivers under 18 must log 50 hours of supervised practice.
  • The adult per-se blood alcohol limit is 0.08.

Those four facts are the full list of Colorado-specific claims used by this test.

What Happens as You Answer

Each of the 19 questions has four options. Select one and the page immediately marks it right or wrong, then shows a one-line explanation of the correct answer. After the last question comes a complete review: every question, the answer you chose, and the correct choice, laid out in order. The best score you reach is saved in your browser, so future attempts have something to measure against. The test has no timer and can be repeated at will. Explanations stay short on purpose: one line that states the point behind the correct answer, shown again in the review next to its question.

This page is independent practice, unaffiliated with any DMV or state agency. Requirements change over time; the official Colorado driver manual is the final authority.
